Instructions for Wearing the Deluxe Soft Night Splint

- Side Straps for creating tension to hold your foot in at an angle.
- Top Velcro to secure to the splint
- Bottom attached to the splint
- Three Main Straps for securing the splint around your foot and ankle, creating a firm, snug fit.
- Applying the Deluxe Soft Night Splint:
- Open all Velcro closures on the Night Splint, disengage the side straps, and place on the floor in front of you with the textured side down, smooth side up (it will not lie perfectly flat).
- Place your heel in center of the splint, at the round hole, with your toes/ball of your foot on the stiff toe pad. Secure the 3 main straps with a firm fit, pulling the ankle area as high up on the ankle as possible.
- Apply the side Velcro elastic bands one at a time, pulling your foot back until it is at about 90 degrees. Pull until you feel a gentle pressure from the stretch, then apply the Velcro to hold. To increase the stretch, you can try crossing the side straps over the top of the foot and attaching to the opposite side of the ankle (creating an x pattern over the top of your foot with the straps). If this is your first time, try adjusting the straps a few times to find the most comfortable fit. Features of your Deluxe Soft Night Splint
- Gel Strip located on the interior of the splint at the center and upper most point of the ankle area. This is a new feature designed to prevent slipping and sagging of the splint.
- Plastic Toe Pad This is another new feature designed to give your toes a comfortable support area during use. Without this piece, the toes may be compressed together when you stretch and apply the side Velcro straps.
- 3 Piece Velcro Application Designed to make for an easy on and off process. Most soft night splints have 5 smaller Velcro pieces. Less Velcro, less headache.
